M101 to launch eight projects with GDV of RM3b

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 2014 — M101 Holdings Sdn Bhd aims to launch eight development projects with a total gross development value (GDV) of RM3 billion in the next three years, said Executive Director Datuk Chua Eng Pu.

Chua said the projects would feature an 'all-in-one' integrated commercial and retail development, comprising SOFOs (small office flexible office) hotel, impressive retail and lifestyle amenities.

“We have completed one project last year and plans to build three more this year with a total GDV of RM1 billion.

“The developments will be located mainly at the tourist attraction areas such as KLCC, Bukit Bintang and Raja Chulan,” he told a media briefing after the launching ceremony here today.

Earlier, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Trinidad Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a management company that operates Best Western Hotel in Malaysia, as a partner for the M101 development.

The Best Western Hotel chain is the largest hotel chain in the world.

M101 also signed a MOU with China-based company, China Railways Construction Corp, as the contractor for the whole M101 project.

Chua said the project was targeted at overseas buyers as they now looked at Malaysia as a property investment destination. — Bernama

M101 Holdings sasar 8 projek

PEMAJU Hartanah M101 Holdings Sdn Bhd (M101 Holdings) menyasarkan pembinaan lapan projek hartanah dengan Nilai Pembangunan Kasar (GDV) RM3 bilion dalam tempoh tiga tahun.

Pengarah Eksekutifnya Datuk Seth Yap berkata, tahun ini syarikat menyasarkan tiga projek berpusat di Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur antaranya di Bukit Bintang, Jalan Imbi dan Jalan Raja Chulan dengan nilai RM1 bilion.

“Fokus kami adalah pembangunan integrasi komersial dan runcit ‘semua dalam satu’ menggabungkan ciri-ciri Pejabat Kecil dan Fleksibel (SOHO).

“Saya percaya berdasarkan konsep baharu ini akan menarik lebih ramai pelabur dari China. Selain China, Jepun, Taiwan dan Hong Kong antara prospek pelaburan projek-projek akan datang,” katanya selepas Pelancaran Pelancongan Hartanah M101 di Kuala Lumpur, semalam.

Menurutnya, memandangkan tidak banyak pelaburan yang dibuat di Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapura dan China, warga asing kini mengalih perhatian kepada Malaysia sebagai destinasi pelaburan hartanah.

Dalam pada itu, turut diadakan Majlis Menandatangani Perjanjian Persefahaman (MoU) antara M101 Holdings Sdn Bhd dan Best Western Hotel juga M101 dengan China Railways Construction Corporation yang disaksikan Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pelancongan dan Kebudayaan, Rashidi Hasbullah.

Dalam tempoh lima tahun, syarikatnya bakal membelanjakan kira-kira RM10 juta bagi 10 projek pembangunan seperti SOHO, peruntican dan hotel.

“Kami akan bekerjasama dengan Best Western Hotel bagi projek pembinaan hotel bertaraf empat bintang,” katanya.
